Happy Tienanmen Square Day! Here's some dragons:
I'm giving an earlier piece another shot at greatness. This time, I'm gonna take things slower, as well as put a few Yellow Reapers in the background to show a bit of scale between combat-weight dragons.

Somehow we got back into DRAGONTIME:

Re-read the first Temeraire book, which gave me a whole lot of clarified information on dragon sizes and harnesses. I had totally forgotten that a fully-kitted out heavyweight dragon will have chainmail and plate armor. Also, the dragon's ground crew will strap into the belly-rigging for the duration of travel. And perhaps most importantly, the fact that Regal Coppers (see Maximus) are the biggest dragons known to Europeans in 1805, at 120 feet from nose to tail. Celestials and Imperials are slightly smaller and much leaner, a Longwing is around 60 feet, and a Yellow Reaper is just under 50.
Anyways, more Temeraire in the near future, as well as more Kezar.

I'm taking a break from DRAGONTIME to concept out the caption of Temeraire, William Laurence:

That dealie in his hand is one of the clips for attaching to the dragon's harness. I thought they should be like ice-climbing picks, because the idea of pseudo-ice climbing up a dragon that's flying around is so bad-ass I might cry.

Ugh missed a day completely. And not like last time: I woke up hungover and had to jet to work, so for the first time in 2012, I did not draw anything. Which sucks. I spent today watching the Niner's game and running various errands, so I was only able to scribble around in my tiny sketchbook a little bit:

A little more Mobile Infantry, some Ninja Turtles, some Temeraire, just quick things that popped into my head today.
