I guess I'm stuck on Mercenaries:

Same basic method as last night.

Tried something a little different tonight:

No linework or greyscale, just started with chunks of color and then  added darks and lights as I went. I think I'm going to pursue this technique more closely, as it also yields evocative results very quickly. I put less than an hour into Blady McShootyoass here.

Roland, oh Roland.

I made everything a bit darker, added more blood, and tweaked the background some more. I have to figure out the foreground and foliage and stuff, then I can put this thing to bed.

Getting pretty close with Roland:

More Roland:

It's a lot brighter than the previous image, which I'm sort of on the fence about.  One hand, it's sort of a dark song, on the other, the supernatural is always scarier in the bright of day....

More Roland, now with color:

The Multiply Layer is basically my favorite thing ever.

Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner:

I'm going to do this as a book cover, which means I'll have to play around with the composition some more.

Happy Tienanmen Square Day! Here's some dragons:

I'm giving an earlier piece another shot at greatness. This time, I'm gonna take things slower, as well as put a few Yellow Reapers in the background to show a bit of scale between combat-weight dragons.
