He turned out more hipster than I intended... On the other hand, he is explicitly described in the text as being really skinny, wearing black jeans, chain smoking cigarettes and popping speed on the regular, so maybe Case is just an O.G. Hipster from way back.

Dude on the left is your standard infantryman, magic sword and six-shooter loaded with all manner of spells. You know, chillin'. Dude on the right is more of a grenadier, carrying a combat accordion-tuba that plays magic spells...

THIS ALL MAKES SENSE IN-WORLD.
