And one more for good measure:
This is actually obscure A Dance With Dragons fan art. See if you can figure out what it is!

Stick in a fork in him, because PMC Wolverine is done!
I'm incredibly pleased with the way this turned out. It took a few tries, but I like the way the dust on his pants ended up (used a combination of 70% opacity layers with some overlays), I think the stuff on his vest looks both realistic and like the sort of things Wolverine would actually carry into combat. I like the overall look, cluttered but with a purpose.

Getting pretty close here:
P.S. The brush I used to do his arm-hair is basically my favorite thing ever.

I realized that I while I wanted PMC Wolverine to look realistic, I wasn't using any proper reference.
I rifled through my reference folders, looked up some stuff online, and am already way happier with the direction this piece is going than I was when I went back to work on it today.

Played around with the color balance a bit, took out a lot of the blue:
Just need to sit down with it for like an hour and really nail down the remaining details.

Even more M.I.:
Funny thing is, the more I work on this, the more it ends up looking like this old version.

Worked on the Sunjet a bit more:
And tried out a new technique that is shockingly similar to the way I learned how to do acyclic portraits.

More Sunjet, this time with..... perspective!
I still need to polish this a whole lot, but so far I'm really diggin' the direction.
