I guess I'm stuck on Mercenaries:

Same basic method as last night.

Tried something a little different tonight:

No linework or greyscale, just started with chunks of color and then  added darks and lights as I went. I think I'm going to pursue this technique more closely, as it also yields evocative results very quickly. I put less than an hour into Blady McShootyoass here.

I learn a lot doing this piece, and it took a lot more energy than I had anticipated to get Roland done.

I made everything a bit darker, added more blood, and tweaked the background some more. I have to figure out the foreground and foliage and stuff, then I can put this thing to bed.
